    I came on my laptop today and it came up with AVG Internet Security saying a new firewall rule was created for consent.exe? Before, I do not know what it is. Thanks so much for your post, now I know that consent.exe is an important file to the system and should not be removed.Thanks for any help!!

    Hi I opened my task manager and noticed two procceses running which were command.exe and csrss.exe,I googled this and people say that command.exe and csrss.exe should be loacetd in the system32 folder ifnots its a virus, thats all well and good but when I left click and try to open the properties or file location nothing comes up and when i tried to end the process of consent.exe it said access denied. I think I should take immediate virus scan after reading your post before it bring in more another problems.

    i have windows vista and it seems as if i have some kind of a malware version of consent.exe. Should I remove it? But I think I should scan my computer with my antivirus program.
