    guys, I’ve got a problem with the installation of WIN XP. he says that sxs.dll is missing. I’ve got a burned cd, so it’s not original. the computer is an old computer. it’s about win xp without service pack. Thanks for letting me know how to fix it..

    I am trying to upgrade/install Win XP to home PC form win ME, After the second restart , the installation is stopped and gives a message like:
    SXS.DLL syntax error in manifest or policy file “D:\I386\asms\1000\MSFT\WINDOWS\GDIPLUS\… N” on line 4.

    I cannot go forward. system is restarting . will follow your steps to go to see whether it solves the problem or not.
