    When I got the iTunes error, use ifile or Diskaid or some software to enter device software and go to /var/root/library and in there you will see a folder called Lockdown. Delete this folder and reboot your device and itunes will reactive it and all will be well again.

    When I try to connect my iPod to the computer, it shows up in the removable devices but when iTunes opens it show this error ” iTunes could not connect to this iPod because of an unknown error ( 0xe8000012 ) ”
    I even tried looking for the solution on the discussion place on the Apple site but they dont seem to have anything. However I did find one but when I tried to open it again it says that I am not allowed to view what I requested. Followed your solutions here and now I was able to connect to iPod correctly.
