    When I try to restore my iPod touch it says there is an error (1602) and it can’t restore. Followed all your steps here and now the problem was fixed.

    Today I tried to restore an iPhone 3GS to the latest firmware which was 5.0. It downloaded it but froze at ‘preparing you device’. After that it gave me an error 1602 and is now stuck at recovery mode. Great solutions to the problem.
