    A while ago a virus messed up my laptop’s registry. I fixed it myself but now my computer has problems with overheating. My nerdy friend told me that the registry should cause the problem, but I didn’t know how to do until came to your post. Best post and you should keep on reading…

    When I boot my computer, the windows xp welcome screen comes up, but there is nothing there. I can’t log in to any profiles. I know that my registry is corrupt and I inserted the installation disc figuring just to re-install windows but when I boot from the CD it just goes to the welcome screen. Even though you are talking about how to fix the Vista registry error, it also helps on my XP computer.
